How to Schedule & Customize Don’t Disturb from Control Centers on iPhone & iPad
By default, the iOS Control Center uses a switch to enable / disable the Do Not Disturb mode on your iPhone or iPad. However, if you don’t see the switch, you must adjust the Control Center and add it manually, before you continue with this procedure. Accessing the iOS Control Center may vary depending on the device you are using, so just follow the steps below.
- If you are using an iPad, iPhone X or newer device, you can access the Control Center by swiping down from the top right edge of the screen. However, if you are using an iPhone with a large head and chin, like the iPhone 8 or more, just swipe the screen from below as shown in the screenshot below, to access it.
- Now, you can just tap on the “sickle” icon to turn Do Not Disturb on or off. Additional options for DND scheduling and adjustment can be accessed by long pressing on the switch. This is for devices running iOS 13 or newer. However, if your device is running an older version like iOS 12, use the 3D Touch gesture and press force on the slider to access the same function.
- Here, you can set how long you want DND to be activated. There are three different options to choose from, as you can see in the screenshot below. If you want to schedule the Do Not Disturb feature manually, tap “Schedule”.
- This action takes you directly to the Don’t Disturb section in the Settings application. In this menu, you can manually set the time and schedule the duration for Do Not Disturb as you wish.
There is enough for that.
Thanks to the switch inside the Control Center, users can quickly activate and deactivate Interruptions at will, with just a few actions. Or, you can also turn on Do Not Disturb by going to device settings.
In addition to this functionality, the Control Center on iOS has several toggles that allow you to quickly activate or deactivate certain features from the comfort of your home screen or without having to exit the application you are using.
